Choosing The Right Liner Colour

Adding a metallic or coloured liner to your shade can make a bold statement and bring warmth to the glow from your lamp.

Mirror Gold screams luxury, while Old Gold is subtle and understated. Different coloured vinyls can add a pop of red or a gothic touch of black. Use your creativity to echo the metallic highlights in the fabric design or match the colour of your lamp base.

Remember that if you choose any liner colour other than white, at least some light will be stopped from shining through the fabric. Mirror Gold and Brushed Gold/Silver/Copper will allow a little glow of light through, whereas Old Gold and Matt Gold block out all light and instead reflect light up and down.

If you need maximum brightness or unsure which liner colour to choose, white is the safest option as it allows light to shine through the fabric.
